Privacy notice
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This notice explains what happens to your personal data when you join the pedalcrew beta waiting list. We have deliberately kept it short, because we collect very little.
Who we are
pedalcrew is operated from Belgium. For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, email hello@pedalcrew.io.
What we collect
- Your email address - so we can invite you to the beta.
- Your country - optional, and only used to plan the first beta seasons.
- Your consent, together with the date you gave it.
We do not use cookies, and we do not build a profile of you. There are no advertising trackers on this site and we never share anything with advertisers.
Measurement
We use PostHog to count how the site is used - pages opened, which buttons get clicked, and how many people reach and complete the signup form. It runs in cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device, so each visit is counted on its own and cannot be linked back to an earlier one. It records the page you are on, your browser and screen size, and your IP address, which is used to derive an approximate country and is not stored by us for any other purpose. We deliberately do not pass it anything you type: the signup fields sit inside the Tally form, which our measurement cannot see into, and when you submit we record only that a signup happened - never who. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, PostHog is switched off entirely.
The signup form itself is embedded from Tally (see below), which loads from
tally.so when the page opens.
Why we may use it, and on what basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box on the waiting-list form. We use it only to send you beta invitations and occasional news about pedalcrew. The usage measurement described above does not rely on your consent but on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in knowing whether the site works - which is why it is kept cookieless and non-identifying. We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers.
Where it is stored
The waiting-list form is provided by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which stores
your submission as a processor on our behalf. The page itself is hosted by
Netlify, which processes standard server logs including your IP address.
Usage measurement is processed by PostHog on their EU infrastructure
(eu.i.posthog.com), so that data stays within the European Union.
Where any of these providers processes data outside the European Economic Area, they do so
under the safeguards set out in their data processing agreements.
How long we keep it
Until the beta programme ends, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If pedalcrew never launches, we delete the whole list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or hand it to another provider. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
